HealthConnect EMR / Privacy Breaches

This page is a sub-page of our Kaiser Permanente Horror Stories Archive, and includes external links to examples of Kaiser data breaches, in which the protected medical and other information of thousands of Kaiser members and employees has been exposed. Numerous additional Kaiser complaints and reviews can be found by browsing the entirety of our website.

We have very recently opened up our horror stories pages to comments so you can add your own complaints below. Please try to stay on topic, and unless you are no longer with Kaiser and have no open complaints or legal actions that have not yet been settled, we suggest you use a pseudonym and avoid details that Kaiser can use to identify you. Kaiser’s lawyers do monitor this website and will use what you write here against you. All comments are moderated due to the potential for abuse, but we usually approve them within a day.

Curious to know if any other Kaiser members experienced this BIZARRE reaction from “Member Services.” After i posted a theoretically private email to my PCP about an inappropriate situation with a male tech, (okay, so i told my doctor the tech WAS a fucking idiot) i got phone calls and letters from Kaiser Member Services threatening to 1. ban me from using patient email 2. turn me over to law enforcement and 3. file for a restraining order against me. When i researched similar incidents, it seems like this HAS happened to others. It’s ALL phony threats, which i told them in a subsequent email. I am not writing from jai.

Yes, we have heard stories like this on a semi-regular basis. If you annoy them enough they will follow through, and they will lie to build a case against you.
