Not our first, and hopefully not our last.
Oh Yay! Our first hate mail since we returned! And we were afraid we wouldn’t get noticed again after so much time away. Fortunately we keep really detailed logs so we can see quite a bit about the people who think it’s a worthy use of their time to do these nasty things. For the privacy of our legitimate visitors we only retain the logs long enough to take screenshots of any abusers. This one is not the best and brightest example, but we will put it in the Hall of Shame anyway because of the timing.
First the email, then the logs and our crazy one off analysis.

You might be crazy. I guess you maintain this website for the money? You get lots of page views so you keep it up and advertise. But half this stuff is just anecdotal evidence. One off stories. if you really researched this or dug into it, you’d probably disprove half your own posts. You need to learn a little bit about evidence based reporting, journalist, healthcare, and then maybe you can put together something legit. Until then, you’re just a hack.

This mail is sent via contact form on Kaiser Permanente Thrive Exposed https://kaiserthrive.org64.251.40.245
That number at the end is the IP address from which the most likely former Kaiser employee contacted us. An Internet Protocol address is a number assigned to each device connected to a computer network, including the World Wide Web. You all have at least one, and the websites you visit can see it and sometimes identify you from it. We couldn’t tell the name of the individual without a court order, but just the number tells us a lot. For instance, this person posted from New York City Health & Hospitals Corporation. We can assume that is where they work now, and usually companies frown on employees using corporate internet connections for abusive behavior. It is possible NYC Health & Hospitals will find it by the link back to its website, or we might send them one because if they can identify the individual they may be interested in an explanation.
Here is the screenshot of the visit from the logs (all times are Hawaii Standard Time):
As you can see, they only visited a few pages, and exactly none of them indicate that we are insane, making money off this site, or that we haven’t done our research. So much for “evidence based,” dude.
They seemed to be most interested in our archive of whistleblower Justen Deal’s controversial email to all Kaiser employees, that got him fired back in the day when KP was deploying its HealthConnect electronic medical records system. We have written about it elsewhere on the site, but in sum it was a typical Kaiser Permanente cluster*@#%, in that the system would frequently go down and the care providers couldn’t tell which beds the patients were in. Of course Kaiser lied in response to Mr. Deal’s email, because that is what they always do, but we helped another whistleblower leak KP’s internal outage reports to ComputerWorld, and the rest was history. This is the first time we have admitted that we were the go-between, but it was a long time ago so why not remind KP and our haters that we are not exactly bumbling idiots around here. No one should bother asking who alerted us to the existence of the reports, because I don’t remember the names and we don’t keep records like that for the privacy of our sources.
I think we have proven our point, once again, with the help of the very people who hate us the most. We will close with a reminder of just a few of those crazy “one off” stories we have collected over the years, in no particular order. Many more can be found by browsing the entirety of this website.

My ex husband has recently decided he wants our 7 year old daughter to go to a Kaiser pediatrician as her primary doctor. After reading all these horror stories I am terrified to have my daughter see a Kaiser doctor. I have also read that the people who have Kaiser insurance must sign an arbitration agreement , making it almost important to take legal action against a negligent medical professional at Kaiser. Instead you are forced into a tricky, time consuming arbitration agreement that has time restraints. Does anyone here know of a Web Site, or a Medical Directory or a law firm who could help me get information on recent medical malpractice cases, negligence cases or wrongful death cases filed against Kaiser in the state of California so that I can show the Judge WHY I do not trust or want my child to be treated by a Kaiser physician?
